Strategic management of chocolate exports in the Chinese market

Introduction: The Colombian chocolate industry has identified the Chinese market as a potential platform to increase its competitiveness and growth. This research addresses the period between 2018 and 2022, with the aim of analyzing how various factors have facilitated the expansion of Colombian chocolate exports to China. The main purpose of this research is to provide a comprehensive understanding of the opportunities that Colombian chocolate offers in the Chinese market. Methodology: From a qualitative approach, this work uses an exhaustive analysis to evaluate the strategic opportunities that could improve the presence of Colombian chocolate in China during the mentioned period. Results: The results underline the growing importance of Colombian chocolate exports to China, which have redefined trade relations between both countries. An increase in trade relations and an adaptive approach to a global market are evident. The adoption of differentiated strategies and the formation of strategic alliances are essential to guarantee effective cultural and legal adaptation.

The content of the article must be unpublished, it must not be in the process of evaluation by another institution, it must not have been distributed to third parties, there must be no legal or contractual limitation that prohibits the author from authorizing the use of their work in open access and in printed or digital form.
