Introduction: This research analyzes the relationship between artificial intelligence (AI) and knowledge management (KM) in the Latin American business sector, emphasizing their strategic application and the ethical challenges associated with implementation in organizational contexts.
Methodology: A descriptive and analytical study was conducted based on specialized scientific sources published between 2019 and 2024. Academic search engines such as Scopus, Mendeley, and Redalyc were used, along with documentary analysis techniques for data classification, systematization, and synthesis. Microsoft Excel was employed for data processing and visualization.
Results: The analysis identified five knowledge management models applied in Latin American companies and eight cases in which AI supports decision-making, process automation, and technological development. The study also highlights the need to strengthen ethical and regulatory frameworks governing AI use, ensuring a balance between technological advancement and the human factor.
Conclusions: AI is becoming a key component of knowledge management in Latin American enterprises, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. The main challenge lies in building business trust and promoting procedures that close technological gaps, facilitating the transition toward Industry 4.0 and 5.0 paradigms.
