Introduction: This analytical-critical research examines the role of destructive leadership in digital transformation processes, particularly within hybrid environments. Beyond idealized approaches to leadership, it explores how authoritarian, laissez-faire, narcissistic, and toxic styles undermine organizational health, weaken institutional legitimacy, and threaten the sustainability of change. Methodology: The study is grounded in a theoretical-documentary analysis of an interpretative and reflective nature, supported by recent literature and guided by a constructivist and ethical approach characteristic of the human sciences. Results: The research demonstrates that these styles are not mere individual deviations but structural configurations that erode labor relations, foster cultures of fear, and constrain innovation under efficiency discourses. Consequently, their persistence in hybrid environments endangers the viability of digital transformation, calling for their identification and dismantling through management strategies that ensure authentic and sustainable change processes.
