Thinking skills: a viewpoint from meta-reading

This document describes an intervention proposal based on metareading that enables students to develop five thinking skills: classifying, compare and contrast, decision-making, induction and deduction. Through this proposal was implemented a strategy that aims to encourage the development of these skills by taking as its starting point metareading through IPLER method.

To carry out the proposed five instruments designed and implemented that allowed to diagnose and determine levels of student improvement over the implemented skills through each stage of the process. Module is also designed with activities that should be developed to exercise every listed skills.

As a result of the implemented proposal data obtained were treated qualitatively and quantitatively. The interpretation of them allowed to observe the skills development of students.
