The musical ensemble: Methodological strategy for the inclusion of a neurologically diverse population
The musical ensemble is a methodological strategy that encourages social interaction between members of an educational community to generate an inclusive and collaborative environment within the institution. The article aims to analyze the investigative and didactic challenges generated by the actions in action research with six students diagnosed with disabilities and belonging to the inclusive music program of the Municipal School of Arts and Crafts of Bucaramanga (EMA), with whom it was achieved intervene their practices and limitations through a didactic sequence that led to the formation of a musical ensemble, as well as impacted the inclusive process of students and their families. The methodology corresponds to a qualitative investigation oriented by action research to complete master's studies from inter-institutional interaction processes. The main results are associated with the diagnosis of the abilities of each student considering their specific disability, the orientation in the choice and practice with a musical instrument and the individual and collective preparation of an artistic presentation in the ensemble mode for an event of the EMA. The conclusions reiterate that from the investigation of the skills of the participants and the implementation of the designed didactic sequence, the students were able to develop the necessary skills to assume the assembly of two musical arrangements worked on in this proposal and be part of a musical ensemble. inclusive, which was integrated into the annual events of the EMA.
