Author Guidelines

Manuscripts should be sent only through OJS platform of this Journal. Consult the complete author guidelines HERE

At time of the postulation, the Originality and Property Declaration form of the content of the manuscript must completed and sent, including the names and signatures of all the authors.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • • All authors have been registered in the submission option. • This step is essential to avoid later delays in the editing and publication processes of manuscripts. • It is necessary to register the Author’s ORCID code or their researchID in OJS. At the end of the evaluation process and to continue with its publication. Authors must send this information to the journal email.
  • • Please SUGGEST 3 POSSIBLE EVALUATORS with their respective name, affiliation and e-mail. • Add these data to the box called “Comentarios para el EDITOR” (Comments for the EDITOR). • It is possible to mention potential reviewers with whom you have a conflict of interest and who you do not want to review your manuscript.
  • The author agrees that the publication will be granted under the following license: Creative Commons Attribution: This license allows others to distribute, combine, adjust and build from their work, including for commercial purposes, provided that the authorship of the original creation is recognized. This is the most helpful license offered. It is recommended for maximum dissemination and use of the materials subject to this license.
  • Complies with the guidelines established in the Instructions for Authors.
  • The Template designed for the presentation of manuscripts is used
  • The manuscript is un published, has not been previousl y published, nor it is being simultaneously postulated for another publication. Statement of Originality and Ownership of the Manuscript Contents
  • Complies with the guidelines established in the style

The names and email addresses entered in this Journal will be used exclusively for the purposes established therein, and this information will not be provided to third parties or for their use with other purposes.

This document contains the Privacy Policy and the Terms of use of the institutional website of Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia UNAD, Colombian institution of higher education created by the Congress of the Republic through Law 52 of 1981, with the purpose of protecting the rights of users of the institutional website, which is part of the documents Manual of Digital Image of the UNAD and Guide for the publication of information in the institutional web and intranet, they are support of the documents of our Quality Management system.

The Privacy Policy of the UNAD details the way we safeguard and use the information obtained through the services, procedures and information available on our institutional website. Moreover, before starting the exploration of the portal, it is important to user read previous and carefully this privacy policy and conditions of usage of the information that we keep and how we use it.

The information on the website, content and services disclosed are public knowledge, therefore acceptance of this privacy policy is a necessary condition for the browsing through our portal.

The user of the institutional portal (website) UNAD agrees to comply all the rules, regulations and national and international uses related to the obligations and duties for the website user, under this privacy policy, considering the following aspects:

1. General:

  • UNAD online platforms can NOT be used for commercial purposes, nor to deal with any external matter of the institution.
  • Users are expected to be familiar with the multiple instructions and aids provided on the platform, before requesting help from the technical support department.
  • If the resources mentioned above are not enough to solve the problem, the user can send a message to the technical support department through the corresponding support space, available on different platforms.

2. In the forums:

  • The forums are not appropriate for sending personal messages. For this purpose, internal messaging or email are used.
  • Before publication of any topic, participants of a forum should read the previous messages sent by other users, avoiding the repetition of topics. In the same way, a difference should be established between reply an already existing message and post a new one about a recent discussion topic. If there is a change in the subject, the title of the discussion should be modified. 

3. In the internal messaging and email:

  • Internal messaging and email are the direct communication media with other platform users and other portal web services. Use them with moderation out of respect for receiver’s time. Messages should be concise and with proper spelling.
  • Email subject should indicate the theme in question. In consequence, the mail will be cataloged, prioritized and read easily.
  • Messages arrive instantly; however, it does not mean that receptor can answer immediately, therefore prudential time must be given in the response before resending or making a new request. 

4. Information to third parties:

  • Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia – UNAD, does not provide personal information of our users to third parties, this will be used only to provide information that user requests or to support administrative or academic programs of our institution, with the exception of being requested for the accomplishment of national and international law.
  • The processing tasks of personal data will be regulated in accordance with legal regulations and the rights of user will be respected in relation to data protection in accordance with the current regulations.
  • This website measures the traffic on internet with commercial or free informatic solutions that can use cookies or web bugs for analyzing the traffic or our website, therefore you can see this information about the privacy policy of our current traffic solution on Google Analytics. 

5. In the online forms and surveys:

  • In different sections of the website, we request personal information such as full name, address, email, official identification, among others. This information is only used to store basic user information in the accomplishment of our institutional mission to support an academic program or project, or to obtain opinions or comments from the user. We do not use this information with purposes other than indicated in this privacy policy.
  • Our online surveys may request contact information such as your email, it will be used only to obtain your opinions or comments.
