Ethics and Transparency

Revista Estrategia Organizacional requires manuscripts to comply with principles of integrity, transparency and accountability throughout all stages of research and publication.

Authors are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the content presented, appropriate attribution of contributions, compliance with applicable ethical requirements, and transparent disclosure of any circumstances relevant to the interpretation or assessment of the research.

Ethics and transparency declarations are mandatory for all articles published by the journal. Where this information has not been fully provided in the manuscript, Revista Estrategia Organizacional will send the authors its Article Declarations and Transparency / Disclosure Box form for completion. All required information must be provided before the article can be published. Where a declaration is not applicable to the study, authors should explicitly state this in the corresponding section.

Article Declarations and Transparency

Manuscripts should include a Declarations and Transparency section at the end of the article. Authors should provide information on the following matters:

Where any of these matters are not applicable, this should be explicitly stated. The absence of a matter requiring disclosure does not remove the requirement to complete the corresponding declaration.

Authorship and Contributions

Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the work and are able to take responsibility for its content.

All authors should approve both the submitted and final versions of the article and should be accountable for the integrity of their respective contributions.

Author contributions should be transparently declared. Honorary, guest, fictitious or other forms of authorship that do not reflect genuine contributions to the work are not permitted.

Conflicts of Interest

Authors should disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal or other relationships that could influence, or reasonably be perceived as capable of influencing, the research, its interpretation or its publication.

The existence of a conflict of interest does not in itself constitute inappropriate conduct. Disclosure enables the editorial process and readers to assess the research with appropriate transparency.

Where no conflicts of interest exist, this should be explicitly stated.

Funding

Authors should identify all sources of funding or financial support associated with the research and, where applicable, provide the name of the funding organisation and relevant project or grant information.

Where a funder has participated in the study design, data collection or analysis, interpretation of findings, preparation of the manuscript or decision to publish, this involvement should be disclosed.

Where the research received no specific funding, this should be explicitly stated.

Research Ethics

Research involving human participants, personal data, sensitive information, animals or other areas subject to ethical requirements should comply with applicable institutional, national and international standards.

Where applicable, authors should provide information on approval by an ethics committee or other competent authority, including the responsible institution and the approval number or code where available.

For research requiring informed consent, authors should confirm that consent was obtained in accordance with the nature of the study and applicable requirements.

The privacy, confidentiality and protection of participants and their data should be preserved throughout the research and publication process.

Use of Artificial Intelligence

The use of artificial intelligence tools or systems is permitted in accordance with the principles and conditions established in the journal’s Policy on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence.

Artificial intelligence tools cannot qualify as authors or assume responsibility for scientific content.

Where artificial intelligence has played a substantive role in drafting, reformulation, translation, synthesis, structuring, methodology, processing, analysis, validation or generation of results, its use should be disclosed in accordance with the journal’s policy.

Authors remain responsible in all cases for the accuracy, originality, references, data, results and complete content of the manuscript.

Originality and Publication Integrity

Manuscripts should be original and comply with the journal’s Originality and Plagiarism Prevention Policy and Publication Misconduct and Integrity Policy.

Practices including data fabrication or falsification, plagiarism, redundant publication, citation or peer-review manipulation, false attribution of authorship or affiliation, and the deliberate submission of false or misleading information are not permitted.

The use of third-party material should comply with the journal’s requirements concerning attribution, licensing and permission.

Responsibility and Compliance

Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors are aware of and agree to comply with the editorial, ethics and research integrity policies of Revista Estrategia Organizacional.

The journal may request additional information, documentation or clarification where necessary to verify compliance with these requirements.

Potential breaches will be assessed in accordance with the journal’s policies and the principles of confidentiality, impartiality, documentation and due editorial process.
