Ties and strains between youth communication practices and their link to college

This paper is the result of an inquiry on communication practices practiced by youth in their daily lives, which are mediated by technological devices, such as the Internet, cell phones, MP3 players and iPods. Thus, ties and strains are made evident within those communication practices, as well as the changes in the individuals’ relationships and their link to school (particularly college), and the resulting changes in communication practices and environments.
