We present in this paper the results and reflections about the progress in the research “Network analysis and resilience in the academic achievement”. This research was developed for the student`s group Fénix, Ave de Luz and is part of the contest of the Research System of the Open and National University (siunad) in 2008. We had support of National System of Permanent Education. In this study we worked with students of courses 3A and 3B. We observed: (1) the social network with methodology Social Network Analysis, (2) the resilience`s factors (self-trust, persistence, work-team, tolerance, social abilities and selfconcept) and (3) the academic achievement in the students. In the dates analysis that we did, we found that the nodes (students) that was more alone in the net have more probability that have worse academics results and more probability of desertion and the nodes with more nodal grade, betweenness, and closeness (more centrality) had the best academics results and they are studying just now. In addition, we observed the relation between self-concept and the academic effectiveness and the rating in the courses, the social abilities and resilience factors and the centrality of one actor in the network. In this paper we show some dates that give support to the conclusions. We hope when the research finish, we can continue in this kind of the studies and to intervene in the networks and the resilience factors with the goal to decrees the desertion and to increase better results in the academic achievement.
