The competitive environment that is imposing the fourth industrial revolution requires companies to be innovative and strong in development. However, technological development has been approached dominantly from hard technologies and soft technologies offer many possibilities of articulation, such is the case of human management and organizational culture, which can be seen as very important soft technologies that can enhance or inhibit innovation and therefore deserve a deep development in companies. In coherence, the objective of the research presented was to explore the relationship between human management, organizational culture and innovative performance. To meet the objective, information on these variables was collected in a sample of 140 companies in Colombia and a correlation analysis was carried out. It was found that human management and organizational culture are correlated with innovation, which is why companies must pay close attention to this type of variables related to soft technology, since they could determine the achievement of remarkable results in innovation. The novelty of the paper presented is based on a deep systematic review of the literature to establish how much this triad has been investigated in the state of the art. For this purpose, a search equation was established and applied in Scopus. 54 documents were identified including articles, book chapters and conference papers. A careful review and analysis of these allowed us to synthesize some relevant findings to relate human management and organizational culture to innovation. Furthermore, knowledge gaps were identified that offer possibilities for future research and are the main contribution of the paper presented.
