Dynamic interactive capabilities and open innovation: towards the conformation of a conceptual theoretical framework
Dynamic interactive capabilities and open innovation empower organizations to possess cognitive elements and skills to cope with changing environments. The objective of this article is to propose a conceptual theoretical framework aimed at identifying the binding concepts between dynamic interactive capabilities and open innovation. The justification is that dynamic interactive capabilities and open innovation are frequently examined as separate conceptual spheres, however, it is possible to recognize a reciprocal relationship between both perspectives. Methodologically, this approach is built from a documentary review of an exploratory nature. The results indicate the feasibility of the proposal given that it is possible to theoretically relate interactive dynamic capabilities and open innovation. Both views constitute a holistic system of connections where knowledge, experiences and skills are exchanged. Furthermore, detection, use and reconfiguration activities make it possible to complement or create new knowledge. In this framework, feedback and cooperation symbolize binding elements between dynamic interactive capabilities and open innovation.
