Vulnerability on the coast of Tabasco: Colonel Andrés Sánchez Magallanes
The article analyzes the vulnerability in the coastal town Coronel Andrés Sánchez Magallanes, Tabasco, Mexico. At the beginning of 2020, in-depth interviews were applied to people 60 years of age and older, and participant observation. With the analysis obtained, the main vulnerabilities were coastal erosion and floods associated with people living near the beach and Laguna del Carmen; as well as insecurity and violence, especially in peripheral areas. A global vulnerability expressed in fear, uncertainty, preserving the hope of a better future before a people who have suffered detriment for the last 30 years.
