Oil palm and its impact on Mexico's sustainability

The oil palm is the main source of the well-known palm oil that in recent years has had a greater growth, thanks to its great diversification for the realization of various products in different industries with which they satisfy social demands; Due to the growth in demand for this oil, a larger territory has had to be used for its cultivation, which has been obtained from other plantations, so it can have a positive impact on the environment where today it is sought that this type of crops can be sustainable to reduce its environmental impact. The objective of the article is to describe the impact that this palm has had on the environment, helping this type of crop to be sustainable thanks to the various products that can be created through it, this will be done with the application of a methodology descriptive, which allowed to obtain as results that it has been innovating through the years to be more friendly with its environment and therefore take care of the environment among all the subjects involved in its various processes, which with the help of certifications allow to have a greater commitment to society and the environment.
