The purpose of this minireview is to give an overview of treatments that have been applied on the vinasse, residue from the alcoholic fermentation; appoint some of its advantages and disadvantages, and then submit recirculation, as one of the best options from an economic point of view and easy implementation, for those who are not interested in the ethanol byproducts.
