This article unveils some aspects about morphophysiology limbic or emotional brain and the chemical components involved in the emotions of students, introduces the concepts of emotional intelligence proposed by different experts and emotional competencies are defined to be developed students from the perspective of the authors of the work, university teachers. Similarly, we present the importance of emotional intelligence in the classroom and suggests strategies to facilitate their development and use for learning achievement of students.
