School dropout rates in online education are a major problem in Mexico (Hernández Miranda, 2021), becoming a serious situation that requires immediate attention, especially in higher education institutions such as the National Open and Distance University of Mexico (UNADM). This article addresses the issue of the depersonalization of learning styles and its influence on students' decisions to drop out of school (Olvera-Guevara, Hernández-López, y Bringas-Castro, 2023). Through quantitative and qualitative analysis based on data collected using a structured questionnaire administered to a sample of 34 students, statistical techniques such as the chi-square test in SPSS were used to identify the most relevant factors.

The results obtained highlight the urgent need to train teachers in 4.0 technologies, as well as to implement personalized learning activities on platforms such as Moodle, aligned with the predominant learning styles of students (Arenas, 2024). These strategies seek to significantly reduce school dropout rates and promote meaningful educational experiences tailored to students' interests and learning preferences.
