This reflection paper is developed within the framework of the philosophical workshops of the international BOECIO project, guided by a research group from the UNAD School of Educational Sciences. These workshops were held in two penitentiary institutions, one located in Colombia and the other in Argentina, in the second half of 2023 through the virtual modality. Although the use of this modality has allowed the project to overcome limitations and expand educational inclusion for Incarcerated Individuals, it has also revealed challenges associated with connectivity problems and lack of familiarity with Information and Communication Technologies (ICT). It is argued in favor of providing ICT access and qualification to incarcerated individuals, supported by the philosophical approaches of Nussbaum & Sen, who advocate for integral human development and the recognition of dignity. Despite the limitations, the proposal advocates for the establishment of effective regulations that balance access to information in accordance with penitentiary and constitutional regulations, ensuring the right to information while facilitating the re-so-cialization and social reintegration of incarcerated individuals
