She Digital gap and communication for educational management in the context of Covid-19: a case study in Lambayeque, Peru.
Peru, like other Latin American countries, faces digital gaps that limit the exercise of educational rights for the most vulnerable groups. This study aimed to explore the development of communication among actors in an educational community in Mórrope, in the Lambayeque region, during the context of COVID-19. Using a qualitative approach based on interviews and analysis of official documentation content, challenges were identified, such as the scarcity and inadequate management of technological resources for communication. The research showed how digital gaps affect people differently in specific situations related to participation in educational management, and how the state must consider intersectional approaches to tackle these problems. Understanding how communication works in the context of COVID-19 can have implications for the formulation of public policies that impact the improvement of educational quality.
