Julie Pauline Sáenz Pinzón

In this text the philosophical and political significance of the concepts of forgiveness and promise is shown as the only alternative to get that the victim and the offender can live and overcome the consequences of their own acts of irreparable human affairs according to the premises of Hannah Arendt in her book “The Human Condition”. Forgiveness is analyzed as the only action that humankind redeems against the irreversibility of their actions and the Promise as mitigating the unpredictability of them and the consequences generated in the field of action.
