The competitiveness of companies is increasingly unsustainable over time, therefore, innovation is used as a source to ensure permanence in the market, but in order for it to be maintained in a sustainable way, it is analyzed which are the variables that facilitate and they potentiate the innovative process in the long term, the antecedents suggest that these are: the human and the cultural. In accordance with the foregoing, the objective of the work is to answer the following question: Which investigations have analyzed innovation in terms of human resources and organizational culture? To answer the question, a systematic literature review is carried out applying the use of keywords in the Scopus database and with the search results obtained, a reading protocol defined by the researchers is implemented. The results give scientific evidence of the little research that has been carried out on the triad innovation - human resources - culture, whose knowledge gaps allow this work to generate value by giving recommendations for future research that is novel in the field of knowledge.
