With the relevance acquired for the websites of government entities, within the framework of the Digital Government Policy, and the rules of transparency and access to public information in Colombia, it is necessary to have quality websites that guarantee usability, accessibility and a good perception of the experience of its users.

The websites of state entities, currently conceived as electronic headquarters where citizens can manage their procedures and services, and access public information generated by missionary, functional and government management, under principles of efficiency, transparency and quality in Public management must consider and integrate the previously mentioned indispensable elements from the design process, and throughout the entire life cycle of the information services available on the web, guaranteeing their success.

To ensure and validate the usability and user experience constructs, this article reviews various related definitions, and identifies methodologies for their evaluation that may contribute in the future to the formulation of a methodology specific to the context of government entities in Colombia
