Production of a popular science video as an extension of the master class in medicine
General objective. This report aims to approach two experiences, the first was in February 2019 and the second was in June 2022; We articulated the master class, the evidence-based problem solving and the elaboration of audiovisual content around the development of the questions: Why is it so difficult to find a malaria vaccine? and What symptoms are relevant in the diagnosis of tropical diseases? Methodology. The didactics begins with concepts presented in a master class, a problem question and an answer through bibliographic evidence, finally a video on YouTube and TikTok were made. Results. In 2019, the program entitled ¿sabías que? was published on a YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/Fno8xrEF-DY. In the year 2021, the students created and developed the TikTok video. Conclusions. The development of the video allows students to enhance skills such as: teamwork, decision making, analysis, synthesis and self criticism, in order to synthesize with scientific rigor their knowledge, and express them in the video.
