Nature as a Subject of Rights: Evaluating the Impact of Sentence 4360 on Climate Change Education in the Amazon

The article discusses the relationship between environmental education in the Amazon region of Colombia and Sentence 4360 of 2018, which recognizes rights to the Amazon. Analyzes how the government and School Environmental Projects (PRAE) respond to this court order to promote climate awareness. It highlights the need to update educational policy to include climate change and promote sustainable practices, especially in regions such as Caquetá. RESPs are presented as key to connecting theory with climate action. The text emphasizes a collaborative approach between educational entities, communities and the government, crucial to conserve the Amazon and ensure the future. It underlines education as a collective duty to face environmental challenges, highlighting the importance of coordinated action and updating policies for effective environmental education.
