The Revista Interamericana de Investigación, Educación y Pedagogía (RIIEP) is an international academic journal specialized in the field of educational sciences. It results from the strategic co-publication between the Universidad Nacional Abierta y a Distancia (UNAD) and the Universidad Santo Tomás (USTA), under the support of their respective Vice-Rectories for Research and for Academic Affairs.

Author Guidelines and Editorial Standards
The journal provides detailed author guidelines via its OJS portal, including formatting specifications, required article structure, citation standards (Vancouver style), submission process, and originality requirements.

  • Author Identification: All articles include complete author identification: full name, detailed institutional affiliation (institution, city, state/province, country), institutional email, and mandatory ORCID number.
  • References: Each manuscript must include a complete reference list in Vancouver style, with verification of recency and thematic relevance.

Policies on Originality and Editorial Ethics

  • Originality: All manuscripts must be unpublished and original. Authors sign a declaration of originality and copyright transfer.
  • Plagiarism Detection: Systematic use of Turnitin software for plagiarism screening.
  • Ethical Codes: Strict adherence to COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) principles for handling conflicts of interest, scientific misconduct, and retraction procedures.
