The coffee sector in Colombia accounts for approximately 15% of the agricultural GDP, establishing itself as a strategic pillar of the national economy. However, it faces significant challenges in administrative management and productive planning, particularly in regions such as the department of Huila, where the adoption of technologies on coffee farms remains limited. This situation is mainly associated with low educational levels and limited strategic preparation among coffee growers. Within this context, a knowledge gap is identified regarding the lack of accessible technological solutions tailored to the real needs of coffee producers, aimed at optimizing their decision-making processes. The purpose of this study was to design and implement a mobile application to improve crop planning and management within the associative group of agricultural producers Bunn San Luis, located in the municipality of Acevedo, Huila. The research sought to characterize the farmers’ planning practices, develop mathematical modules for forecasting, build a functional digital tool, and evaluate its impact after implementation. The methodology employed was mixed, integrating quantitative and qualitative techniques under a participatory action research approach, which included focus groups with directors and producers, surveys, and statistical analyses. The mobile application was developed with specific modules for harvest forecasting and strategic crop planning, and its implementation involved training sessions, pilot testing, and continuous follow-up. The results demonstrate a substantial improvement in the farmers’ planning and decision-making capacities after adopting the application, confirming its practical value as a support tool for administrative management in coffee farming. The study concludes that while technology offers a valuable opportunity, it is essential to strengthen digital training processes in the rural sector to ensure effective adoption and integration of these tools.
