The regulatory background and the articulation of public policy related to the
reduction of food loss and waste are presented, and the ordering of the agricultural
sector through Decree Law 4145 of 3 of 2011, its relevance in the National
Development Plan 2022- 2026 'Colombia, world power of life', through the Strategic
Axes: 1) Territorial planning around water and environmental justice, and 3) Human
Right to Food, and its relationship with the SDGs in Colombia, especially SDG 12 -
Responsible Production and Consumption- and indirectly with SDG 2 – Zero Hunger-
