The collaborative economy arises with the mutual help approach, but this approach deepens in the relationships of companies and people through technological advances. Therefore, at present, the world economy is going through a process of reorganization in its value chain, characterized by the use of digital technologies that generate a transformation in the lifestyle of human beings, impacting the economy and society.

In the Latin American case, the countries that stand out under this economic model are Brazil and Mexico, closely followed by Peru and Argentina. For its part, Colombia is in the embryonic state of law, since there is no structured legal framework, which has led to a series of economic and social situations that have led to the finding of the two economic schemes.

This research sought to determine the habits of use of urban transport companies that operate under the collaborative economy scheme Bogotá and Mexico, in young university students. It can be concluded that there are no significant differences by cities, which leads to the assumption that this type of service could implement cross-cutting marketing strategies to improve its competitiveness with respect to traditional transportation service.
