Impact of fintech on financial digitalization and its role in financial inclusion
This article reflects on the impact of fintech technologies on the digitalization of financial services, highlighting their role in financial inclusion. Fintech has profoundly transformed the financial ecosystem by utilizing technologies, such as blockchain, artificial intelligence, and big data, to optimize services, reduce costs, and enhance accessibility. However, challenges related to digital exclusion and financial regulation persist, particularly in emerging markets. This study employs a qualitative approach based on a bibliographic review of over twenty key studies to analyze how fintech has improved access to financial services in regions such as Africa and Asia. Despite these advancements, the importance of developing regulatory frameworks that balance innovation with security and consumer protection has been emphasized. In conclusion, fintech is essential for modernizing the financial sector, but its future success depends on addressing regulatory and cybersecurity challenges.
