The bibliometric analysis and patent literature review in the Supply Chain Management (SCM) of coffee aggregates and elucidates trends or potentials in the design and development of technological products and the employment of technological platforms. This was achieved through a comprehensive examination of patents registered in databases such as Google Patent Advanced Search, Espacenet, and the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce of Colombia (SIC). A total of 71,677 patents pertinent to coffee were identified, alongside 100,000 concerning SCM, of which 4,836 are specifically related to the coffee supply chain. Notably, 67 patents are dedicated to the design and development of technological platforms.

Furthermore, within the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce of Colombia (SIC), 98 patents were recorded, among which 92 pertain to the coffee agro-chain, one to a technological platform, and five to SCM and its applications across various domains. It is inferred that there is a substantial progression in the technological prerequisites for SCM management, facilitated by gathering information crucial for the foundational conceptual design of these models within the Colombian context. Notably, the absence of a patent describing SCM that integrates technological platforms in Industry 5.0 unveils an opportunity for the advancement of technological innovations. Such innovations would enable strategic, tactical, and operational decision-making, underpinned by mathematical modeling, multi-objective analysis, and dynamic systems, thereby influencing the value chain.
