IoT-based electronic device for monitoring SARS-CoV-2 infections
In order to implement technologies that facilitate the monitoring of infections and thus mitigate the impact of COVID-19, the development of an electronic device based on RFID (radio frequency identification technology) is presented, which is considered as a biosecurity instrument. that can be installed on sites with high social interaction.
The device was designed to be installed at the entrance of stores, churches, banks and other places with a large influx, it is capable of reading RFID cards or key fobs, which can be carried by visitors, it allows monitoring in the cloud of the time, date and place where these people enter, connect to the internet via WiFi and complete the registration process in an average time of 5.8 seconds.
With this development, it is intended to offer a technological tool that allows the health authorities to propose isolation strategies for vulnerable sectors, since upon detecting a positive case alert, it will be possible to relate a sector of society that had interaction with the person on alert. and thus act with greater precision in terms of care and the implementation of sectorized isolation, which is expected to reduce the risk of contagion during the economic reactivation.
