Teaching assisted by technology and physical exercise of teachers of a university physical education program, during the mandatory isolation by covid-19

Objective: to characterize the teaching assisted by technology and the physical exercise of professors of a university program of physical education, during the mandatory isolation. Material and method: the study was descriptive, quantitative, cross-sectional, taking into account social isolation, a self-administered survey was used, the sample consisted of 41 teachers who voluntarily participated in the study. Results: Among the main results it was found that 73% of the teachers consider that the students lack skills for education mediated by virtuality; Regarding the classes, they (68%) consider that the development of the practical component of classes has been affected, likewise, 80% of the teachers had to redesign the contents of the subjects. Regarding physical exercise, it was found that 59.45% of the teachers carry out physical exercise between 5 and 7 days per week, 51.4% invest between 60 and 90 min to each session and the intensity of work in 81 , 04% of the subjects is moderate. Conclusion: Due to the pandemic caused by Covid-19, the characterized teachers have adapted to the new reality to guide their classes, also due to the academic program to which they belong, made it possible for them to continue doing physical exercise despite the mandatory isolation.
