Teaching and information and communication technologies: a literature review and bibliometric analysis

Teaching and information and communication technologies can be considered as an up-to-date topic since it has been evolving vigorously, representing significant advances in education at all levels since the end of the 20th centurysince it provides many benefits that allow the methods of teaching are more effective, reaching very positive results for human knowledge. Considering the current demand in the implementation of technological tools in education, it is intended to do a literature review and bibliometric analysis as a contribution to the knowledge of this area. Delving into articles registered in the WOS and SCOPUS databases between 2000 and 2022; To carry out the bibliometric analysis and its respective network study, the R studios tool wasused, obtaining a scientific mapping to classify the most important works in the area, categorizing the entire research process with the tree of science technique, Emerging currents in the area were identified, the most representative authors, the main journals and countries that are contributing in this field of knowledge, finally, the conclusions, limitations found and the subsequent agenda where the theme of teaching and information technologies is oriented are exposed. information and communications.
