Determinants of the state of mental health and psychological well-being in higher education students
For the development of the research, the general objective was to identify the determinants of mental health and psychological well-being of higher level students, the elements of the method considered was a type of descriptive study, as determining variables of mental health and psychological well-being, obtaining the information was carried out through the application of the DASS-21 questionnaires for determinants (stress, depression, and anxiety) and the Ryff psychological well-being scale which considers areas such as: positive relationships, autonomy, mastery of the environment, purpose in life and personal growth, the population where the research was carried out was a private university with degrees in health sciences, social sciences, as well as education and humanities, using a non-probabilistic convenience sample, with degrees in health sciences, social sciences and education and humanities applying to a total of 1384 students, with a non-experimental descriptive cross-sectional design. The general results obtained were that in terms of depression an average of 5.95% is mild depression, anxiety 5.86% moderate anxiety and stress 7.00% mild stress, the general psychological well-being was 21.27%, which remains stable.
