This work carries out an analysis of emerging bodily practices and (counter)hegemonic discourses in the social construction of space in Villavicencio, a critical analysis in the spirit of cultural studies. For this purpose, and due to the qualitative nature of this research, the tools used to find answers to the object of study included documentary analysis, semi-structured interviews and various theoretical references, which subsequently allowed the interweaving of information to the light of the multiple relationships and tensions, convergences and divergences, released towards the critical analysis of emerging bodily practices in the different spaces of the city. Concrete forms of bodily manifestation that seem to be far from hegemonic discourses, and that reconfigure space and redefine the use of objects. The results of this research will allow us to offer differential interpretations about the bodily practices that emerge in the city of Villavicencio and their place in the use of space in the capital city of the department of Meta.
