Historical reflection from the UNAD Social Communication training chain

This article provides a historical reflection on the process of formation and consolidation of the chain of training in social communication of the ECSAH School of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, which during the last 25 years has been an interesting training opportunity for more than 1,200 students attracted by the idea of training in the field of communication, with an undergraduate and postgraduate commitment. In the case of the undergraduate program, it’s high quality has been recognized by the Ministry of National Education for 8 years. This compilation of historical actions commemorates the twenty-fifth anniversary of the UNAD Social Communication program, which becomes a window that has allowed us to assess the situation of communication field in Colombia and, consequently, has allowed us to continue to outline more training, research and intervention options to solve problems and needs in the close contexts of its students and graduates. It is worth noting that, in this path, the ECSAH has played a transcendental role, for it is the academic cradle of the commitment that the UNAD has made over 39 years in the field of human sciences.
