- Types of contributions

The Journal Análisis Jurídico-Político of the School of Legal and Political Sciences will publish the following types of contributions:

  • Scientific and technological research articles: documents that present in detail original results of scientific research or technological development projects. The processes from which they are derived are explicitly stated in the published document. The expository structure usually specifies the research questions, the pattern of analysis and methodology, as well as the results or findings and conclusions.
  • Reflection articles: documents that correspond to the results of studies or reflective analyses carried out by the authors on a disciplinary problem, theoretical issue or applied question, or practice in the areas of knowledge dealt with in the journal. On this, with similar requirements of originality and quality, they present considerations, opinions, proposals or reflections in an argued manner. Therefore, it may use research results and transfer from secondary sources.
  • Review articles or reviews: texts aimed at offering a state of the art of an aspect, area or sub-area, specific problem, or a significant number of publications on a subject, in order to expose the situation or state of this, the elements of debate and the prospects for its development and future evolution. They therefore require a comprehensive overview and extensive literature reviews.
  • Jurisprudence/practical analysis: this corresponds to documents that seek to contribute to reflections on rulings of the high courts/courts of justice that constitute a contribution to the construction and presentation of jurisprudential lines in Colombia and in comparative law. This type of collaboration also includes the presentation of studies and reports that lead to the analysis of public policies both nationally and internationally.

- General format

Articles should be between 5000 and 9000 words in length. Original texts should be written in Times New Roman font, 12 cpi, single-sided, letter size, 1.5 line spacing.
