Architectural Cultural Heritage is a World Heritage Site, or rather a World Heritage Site (García, 2011), which the citizens of Ecuador have partially valued since 1978, when UNESCO granted this award to the city of Quito and the Galapagos Island.

The historical heritage architecture of this country is a cultural reference at the Latin American level, however, a low interest in its conservation could lead it to become part of the UNESCO blacklist: World Heritage at risk.

It is therefore necessary at present, and with a medium and long term vision, to develop a pre-feasibility study to determine the feasibility of providing a tourist service based on the Cultural and Architectural Heritage of Ecuador, based on project management strategies through the PMBOK tools, to achieve the economic reactivation of different sectors directly linked to the transit of local and foreign tourists (transport, hotels, restaurants, handicrafts, travel agencies, exchange houses, technology, advertising, marketing, churches and foreign trade, among others).
