ICT management model supported by data mining as a strategy for predicting desertion

This article proposes the model based on decision trees with the CART algorithm to predict school dropout, as a research project in the Master's Degree in Technology and Information Management. This management model is based on the implementation of the analysis that involves representative actors in the school process (students, teachers, coordinators, psycho-counselor, principal and secretary), with the aim of finding influential factors in the dropout of students at the educational level. of secondary school, using as a variable related to permanence strategies, pedagogical practices, academic motivation and the evaluation system. A hybrid system based on business, business and IT solution infrastructure analysis tools will be used, supported by data mining techniques from a methodological vision that determines the level of desertion in the last 3 years (2018, 2019 and 2020) .
