The friction stir processing (FSP) technique can modify the microstructure of metallic materials or form a composite material, generating a grain refinement in the material; modifying it and closing porosities from previous processes, producing new crystallographic textures, altering the mechanical properties of the compound or alloy in the processed zone. In the present work , based on the works of different authors, the properties as plasticity, hardness and malleability in aluminum alloys, once they are processed by PFA, change, attributing this to the homogenization and refinement of the grain size thanks to the plastic deformations that the technique generates. In the case of producing a composite material using the PFA technique, using different reinforcing agent deposition methodologies, it has been shown that changes are generated in the physical and mechanical properties in the processed area of the piece when said particles or agents are introduced. in the alloy matrix.
