There are many reflections on teaching and mathematics learning that analysed perspectives from the teaching role, student, curriculum, context, method, among others. In this article, a reflection is presented from the teaching view, in which it is intended to remember the mathematical knowledge for teaching - MKT, which in this new era must be re-designed. In the current context of Industry 4.0 it is necessary to innovate educational practices from learning, unlearning and relearning to achieve a true transformation of teaching and that in turn, ceases to be seen as a process isolated from reality. The technology is present in exacerbated quantities, so the professional who teaches in engineering programs is invited to make use of the basic components the Industry 4.0 and reinvent their work. It is then hoped that this article will be a starting point for this reconstruction of new knowledge in the society and that involves through work networks, the attitudinal aspects to achieve a holistic formation and in accordance with the new demands of the fourth industrial revolution.
