Animal production systems (aps) and environment relationship and interactions
Contextualization: Animal Production Systems (APS) have a direct influence on environment, through the generation of liquid and solid wastes, release of gases into the atmosphere, demand for hydric resources, expansion of the border agriculture and the impact on biodiversity, among others. On other hand, environment is a APS characteristics determining factor. Relationships between environment and APS are dynamic and permanent.
Knowledge gap: Is necessary recognize in greater detail impacts of APS on environment, the influence of environment on APS, and importance of design and establish sustainable APS in suitable areas.
Purpose: Analyse relationship between Animal Production Systems (SPA) and environment, through of documentary sources review.
Methodology: Review of secondary sources of information, of updated references on this area of knowledge and high regional impact.
Results and conclusions: Livestock production should be developed from a sustainable approach, taking into account the effects of climate change, seeking to mitigate the impact of livestock activity on the environment and taking into account the determining effect of the environment on characteristics of APS.
