Commitment of the cement and steel companies of the city of Sogamoso in the face of climate change and sustainable development.
In this work, the commitments of cement and steel companies in the city of Sogamoso to climate change are studied. A mixed type of investigation was developed with a descriptive approach, through a structured survey applied to large and medium-sized companies, with a shows that it managed to establish the state of corporate social responsibility within the sustainability and decarbonization of companies in the production processes and the commitments to the global pact towards Zero Net as a proposed goal for 2035 and the contribution to climate change and the greenhouse effect.
Commitments to climate change allow the identification of factors with interest groups and environmental responsibility in accordance with the demands of climate change and the determinants of the decarbonization of the production processes of steel and cement companies. In addition, social responsibility is associated with the sustainable development objectives and the implications towards sustainability and corporate social responsibility. Sogamoso has been considered one of the cities with a high degree of pollution according to. ESRI (2018)
The results showed clear evidence about corporate social responsibility towards environmental aspects and the decontamination and stabilization plan for the use of natural resources, established in the environmental impact indicators, so opportunities for improvement can be identified in these companies. cement and steel factories in the city of Sogamoso.
