Through of the collective memory of Afro-Colombian communities in the Cauca Department, ecological restoration is proposed as a customary process involving environmental, territorial, biocultural management, and actions for ecological recovery and restoration, despite the global dynamics of exploitation and extraction during the Afro-descendant transhumance in the Cauca Department, which have been underlying causes of the negative transformations suffered by ecosystems. Lastly, it is suggested from ethnoecology to document, analyze, and raise awareness of the biocultural territorial construction practices for the restoration of degraded areas.
