The understanding of the Biocultural Territory harmonizes the scientific method with the traditional knowledge of local communities (Afro descendants, indigenous peoples, farmers and other ethnic peoples). Which implies the conception of a new methodological orientation, which allows describing the ethnic and differential approach in the management of the territory, as support for a political alternative towards a form of democratization of the territory. This purpose is oriented from the philosophy of liberation and decolonial thought, likewise, it is expressed through the exercise of analogical hermeneutics that is proposed as an alternative for balance in the Eurocentric discourse of philosophies, ontologies and epistemes, serving as an instrument methodological for the development of dialogues (interdisciplinary, intercultural and transcultural) as a biocultural study. This biocultural study incorporates traditional knowledge that shapes the management conditions of the inhabiting community in a given territory in balance with “other” Western disciplines; Likewise, it recognizes that one’s own thinking considers valid all those spiritual and animistic aspects, detonating energy flows that determine the ways of approaching the community’s actions in the territory and the influence of the territory on the cultural heritage. These conditions, product of the analogue, consolidate an idea called biocultural policy.
