The generational change of freight drivers is a challenge for Colombian agro-industrial transport, especially in Bogotá, which has the highest demand for food due to its high population density. According to the Economic Development Observatory ODEB (2025), 2,433,912 tons of agricultural and livestock food entered the city and were transported by land. Therefore, the shortage of drivers affects the frequency of supplies and raises product prices. The research identified key factors to address this problem, which are: dignifying the trade, guaranteeing job stability with benefits, promoting female inclusion, subsidizing driver's licenses, promoting the position among young people, and promoting job insertion in the areas of Kennedy, Bosa, and Fontibón.
