This literature review article aims to uncover the potential of Amazonian biomass as a source of clean energy within a context marked by a dependence on fossil fuels and limited renewable energy infrastructure in the Amazon region. To achieve this, a systematic search was conducted in academic databases using a well-structured search equation, which allowed the identification of more than 50 bibliographic

sources. The methodology applied in this literature review involved the extraction, reading, and critical analysis of scientific articles, books, and technical documents. Different theoretical perspectives were contrasted to establish the most solid arguments regarding the evolution of theoretical frameworks around biomass and its energy use. The main findings revealed a set of patterns and trends in the use of Amazonian biomass, highlighting both opportunities for sustainable energy generation and existing challenges, such as the risk of deforestation and the lack of effective public policies. In addition, key concepts related to process management and resource optimization were identified as essential for the development of industrial engineering projects. The significance and relevance of these findings lie in their potential to guide a transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy model.
