This article presents the result of a study conducted at an architectural carprentry company aimed at improving operational efficiency through a proposed plant redesign. The methodology used was Systematic Layout Planning (SLP), which allowed for the analysis of material flow, the relationships between areas, and the physical constrains of the production process. Data collection was carried out through technical visits, staff intervies, floor plans, and qualitative and quantitative measurements. Based on this data, a layout proposal was developed that optimizes the arrangement of workstations, reduces unnecessary travel, and improves the logical sequence of the production process, without compromising operational safety. The results was a layout that significantly improves operational efficiency and strengthens functional integration between areas, facilitating process control and meeting delivery deadlines.
