Peer review process

The engineering journal Publicaciones e Investigación reviews, evaluates, and arbitrates the articles submitted for publication in accordance with the following guidelines:

All original submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.

The article evaluation process begins with a preliminary assessment by the Journal’s Editorial Committee, which evaluates the document in terms of form, content, and compliance with the journal’s publication standards.

Subsequently, the article is sent to two anonymous reviewers who are specialists in the field addressed by the manuscript. Once the document has been evaluated, the authors will be notified of the reviewers’ comments and recommendations so that they can make the required corrections or clarify any issues identified during the evaluation process.

The revised manuscript must be resubmitted with the changes and adjustments suggested by the reviewers in order to proceed with the style correction and the subsequent editing process.

In the event of significant discrepancies between the reviewers’ evaluations, the manuscript will be sent to a third reviewer. Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editorial Committee will make the final decision regarding the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript. Final acceptance will depend on the modifications proposed by the reviewers and the approval of the Editorial Committee.

The Editorial Committee of the journal Publicaciones e Investigación reserves the right to make the formal changes necessary to adapt the manuscript to the journal’s publication standards. If the article is not approved during the preliminary evaluation or the double-blind peer review process, the authors will be notified of the decision and the reasons for its rejection.
