Introduction. Psychosocial factors at work consist of the interactions among work, the environment, and the conditions of the organization, with the worker’s capabilities, their needs, their culture and their personal situation outside of work, through perceptions and experiences that can influence health, performance and job satisfaction. the psychosocial factors and the social labor support perceived by the academic and administrative staff of a public university. Materials and methods. A descriptive cross-sectional study aimed at characterizing the perception of psychosocial factors and
social labor support of officials of a public university, through two instruments applied to the study participants. Results. The analysis showed that there is discomfort and dissatisfaction regarding some working conditions, likewise the officials showed that they have a good network of family and extra-work support. Conclusions. It is important that the human resources department and the university welfare department carry out a detailed analysis of the results in order to establish strategies to improve the aspects that were pointed out as critical by the officials.
