This article reflects on the importance of teacher training in the bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Pedagogy through the Art and Arts Education in Early Childhood course, from a critical and transformative perspective focused on early childhood. It positions art as an expressive language and a guiding activity that goes beyond crafts, readiness activities, and instrumentalist approaches within the school environment. The article shares the pedagogical premises developed in the design of artistic experiences and environments that align with the purpose of early childhood education, promoting children's agency, creativity, free exploration, identity and subjectivity construction, expression through various artistic languages, and the joy of learning about the world around them. It proposes a teaching role that nurtures, accompanies, and recognizes art as a right, a language, and a vital experience for young girls and boys in early childhood.
